THE REALITY OF HIS RESURRECTION

TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 15: 1 – 11

INTRODUCTION:
In our text, Apostle Paul addressed an important issue which the Corinthians had misconceptions about question – concerning the resurrection of the dead. It is obvious that there were some people in the church in Corinth who were saying that there is no physical resurrection. This denial may imparts not only on our understanding of what happens to believers but also on our understanding of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
What we believe about the resurrection of Jesus Christ is critical. Paul then stressed the objective reality of both the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

2. Identify and discuss the three important and essential truth about the heart of the gospel in verse 3 and 4 of our text. 1 Corinthians 15: 2 – 4; Hebrews 7: 27; Luke 23: 46, 50 – 53; 1 Corinthians 15: 14; 17 – 20.
3. a. List the different eye witnesses to the resurrection appearance in the text. 1 Corinthians 15: 5 – 10.

4. What are the implications of HIs death and resurrection? Romans 1: 4; 1 Corinthians 15: 17; Acts 2: 38; 22: 16; Rev 1: 17 – 18

CONCLUSION
Paul concluded this section on resurrection, in which he has affirmed the real physical death of Christ for our sins, and the real physical resurrection, testified by over 500 witnesses he declare: “This is what you believed” (Verse 11). For Paul, that settles the question being raised in Corinth about the concept of resurrection, while it is nonnegotiable truth. Do you also believe? What is your response to His resurrection?
