A KINGDOM THAT CANNOT BE SHAKEN

TEXT: HEBREWS 12: 18 – 29

INTRODUCTION:
A kingdom that cannot be shaken suggest that there is another kingdom which can be shaken. A kingdom which cannot be shaken speaks about the kingdom of God established by Jesus the Messiah. There is no doubt that we are living in a very volatile world yet men are bound to the earth
and its treasures or pursuits instead of putting their confidence in what is lasting and eternal. People spend more time piling up possessions instead of striving to develop Christ like Character.
This study is meant to awaken us to the reality of the insatiability of this world and the desirability of the unshakable kingdom that Christ offers.

QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSIONS
1. What does it mean to receive the kingdom that is unshakable? Romans 8: 37 – 39; 14: 9; Hebrews 13: 14; 11: 10.
2. How can we receive this kingdom? John 3: 3 – 5; 1 Timothy 6: 10 – 21; Romans 12: 1 – 2; 2 Timothy 2: 19
3. What should be our response in the face of the shaken or the trouble of this world? 1 Peter 1: 17; Hebrews 4:16; 21: 15.
4. Further instruction to us who are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Hebrews 12: 25, 28; 2 Peter 3: 11 – 14, 17 – 18.

CONCLUSION
Knowing the volatility of the world and that God will soon destroy the world and judge the unrighteous, we must not become attached to this world system of things within it. Our values, goals and purpose in life must be centred around God and the hope of his unshakable kingdom.
Where is you treasure? Is it God or the world? Is God your security or your retirement plan? Is God your fellowship or your family?
