STUDIES IN ACTS

INTRODUCTION:
We have discussed about visions, dreams and prophesies inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Today we wish to continue our study of the Book of Acts by looking at Acts 2: 17 – 21.
May the Lord bless us richly as we study in Jesus name. Amen.

1. THERE ARE SOME DAYS THAT ARE GOOD WHILE OTHERS ARE
BAD:

A notable day is unforgettable. It is either one of great joy or sorrow. There had been many such days in the scriptures beginning from the time of Adam till the New Testament days. Acts 2: 17 – 21; Genesis 3: 22 – 24; Genesis 27: 30 – 34; Genesis 7: 13 – 16; Exodus 15: 1 – 11; 1 Samuel 16: 10 – 13; 2 Kings 5: 20 – 27; Daniel 4: 31 – 34; Luke 2: 25 – 32.

2. THE NOTABLE DAY OF THE LORD WILL SURPASS THEM ALL
The notable day of the Lord will surpass the other previous notable days because

  1. it will affect the whole world
  2. it will be a day of final revelation and separation
  3. it will be a way of eternal joy for some and eternal sorrow for others
  4. it is the day when night will meet day, e t c.

Matthew 27: 22; Acts 1: 10 – 12; Daniel 7: 9 – 10; Zechariah 14: 4.
